The Decorators Unlimited President & Founder Bob Martin and Senior Interior Designer Kathy Roman took on a 22,000 square-foot clubhouse renovation at Vizcaya located in Delray Beach, Florida.
Under our direction, we brought the clubhouse up to ADA standards and transformed the space from a heavy Mediterranean style to a beautiful transitional design.
The job started with replacing the front doors with a brand-new mahogany door system. Our designers followed up by upgrading the entire lobby area by enhancing the size of the space by knocking down walls and adding glass door systems to expand the look and feel of the area.
Other renovations included two card rooms, a main ballroom, beautiful seating, custom lighting, the removal of heavy molding and outdated artwork, and a new sleek fireplace surrounded by stone facades and linear sconces.
Since the clubhouse’s billiard and media rooms were underutilized, our team decided to make this area more functional by creating a multi-use community room featuring a new coffee bar, several televisions, and glass doors to allow for natural lighting.
